Leslie Olive's choir training technique focuses on balance, blend, transparent textures and clear rhythmic energy together with a deep understanding of "how music goes."
John Rutter described a performance of Lauridsen's "Sure on this Shining Night" by the English Arts Chorale under Leslie's direction as "translucent singing."
Leslie's rehearsal style is non-confrontational, yet with the highest of expectations. Rehearsals and workshops are happy times with plenty of laughter, yet participants feel they have worked hard, achieved a lot, and learned more.
Singers are not shouted at. But they often find themselves achieving more than they thought possible.
Leslie is available for workshop days, choral weekends, and short-notice cover for both rehearsals and concerts.
